511 Service

511, the Halesworth Hoppa, Bus Service

Halesworth Area Community Transport Limited (HACT) provides the 511 bus service in and around Halesworth and Holton connecting them to the GP surgery, Patrick Stead Hospital, supermarket, railway station and The Thoroughfare. It is manned by friendly and helpful volunteer drivers and often with bus buddies who can assist passengers on and off the bus and offer advice on transport connections and local events and activities.

The 511 route is served by 16-seater disabled-accessible buses. It is like any other route, passengers pay a fare or use a concession pass. Passengers can hail the bus anywhere along its route and the driver or buddy will provide assistance getting on and off the vehicle. If necessary drivers can use their own discretion to divert off the main route, for a short distance, to take those with impaired mobility closer to their door. Please call us in advance if you need assistance.
For full details and afternoon travel pick up a timetable from the library, Tourist Information/WDC offices or from our office at The Railway Station during weekday mornings, ring or e mail us for more information.

The 511 Bus service runs weekdays, mornings from 9.30am to 12.30pm  and afternoons from 1.45pm to 3.30pm, except for Thursdays
